ABOUT KEF

PERFORMANCE
The most accurate, impressive sound
Revolutionary Metamaterial Absorption Technology eliminates distortion for a purer, more natural sound, while the 12th generation Uni-Q driver array with MAT driver technology provides three-dimensional, superbly coherent sound that fills any room.
Metamaterial Absorption Technology
Meta-Material Absorption Technology (MAT) is a highly complex labyrinth-like structure that absorbs 99% of unwanted sound coming from behind the driver, eliminating the resulting distortion and providing purer, more natural sound.
Every spot is the sweet spot
12th generation Uni-Q drivers with MAT
Our engineers, who use advanced simulation and analysis tools, developed the 12th generation Uni-Q with MAT. This new driver array provides less coloration, less distortion, and a more transparent and lifelike sound than ever before possible, all distributed evenly throughout the room.
DESIGN
Every aspect of LS50 Wireless II has been considered for acoustic benefits and from a design perspective. The low-diffraction, curved baffle is precision modelled around the Uni-Q driver, while eye-catching heat sinks and colour-matched ports are located on the well-equipped rear. The top-mounted control panel is designed to be stylish and functional.
Prepared for action
The compartments of the LS50 Meta are designed from an Injection Moulded Dough-moulding Compound (DMC), while cross-bracing and Constrained Layer Damping (CLD) come together inside the cabinet to work in concert to reduce resulting vibrations. The result of such meticulous attention to detail is that the LS50 Meta creates even lower coloration than any other speaker in its class
LS50 Wireless II is available in three matte finishes, carbon black, titanium grey, and mineral white, as well as a Crimson Red Special Edition. All the colour options are mirrored on both the drive units and the rear-facing port. The top-mounted control panel is designed to be stylish and functional.

KEF has produced the best loudspeaker that can be bought at this price by combining its experience in BBC speakers for many years with today's technologies. With its wide and realistic stage, it can deliver much more than expected from a speaker of this size. When used with the KEF KC62 Subwoofer, which is designed for LS series speakers, it can compete with tower speakers with increased bass performance. I am using Naim Uniti with Atom and I am very very satisfied.
A passive loudspeaker perfectly compatible with the Cambridge Audio CXA81 amplifier and the CXN V2 network player.
For years, after my Ls50 passive speaker that I own, I had the opportunity to listen to this speaker in HifiLife.. It is impossible not to feel the effect of the Meta material used on the sound performance..
While it is already a near-perfect speaker, it has reached Nirvana in the Meta classification.
I tried it with the Hegel H120 amp and I can honestly say that they have a very good chemistry. They like rich and detailed sound, I think they should definitely listen to it..
An extraordinary speaker…Bravo Kef.
I switched from KEF LS50 to LS50 Meta. My first impressions, my admiration increased as I listened. The meta material used had an incredibly positive effect on the sound quality. The stage was enlarged, the total harmonic distortion in the middle voices was incredibly reduced, the dynamics are much better than before, low volume' You can feel every layer of the instruments in your body. The amp I drive is the Cambridge audio cxa81 and the streamer+dac is the bluesound node 2i, columns that should not be missed if the column amp is matched.
