Experience the Perfect Cinema at Your Home
Klipsch Home Cinema Experience
Have you ever sat on your couch watching a blockbuster movie and wondered, “Am I missing out?” If you don’t have a home theater system, the answer to that question is probably “yes!” We know it’s hard to make your dreams come true with a home theater system installed without the right expertise and guidance.
What is a "Home Theater System"?
In simple terms, a home theater system is an arrangement of speakers that goes beyond stereo sound to give you an immersive audio experience. In other words, it is a system that will give you a true movie theater experience in your home.
When it comes to home theater systems, there are many speaker options to suit every budget and room size. Most of these systems work with an audio or video receiver (AVR). However, some systems are self-powered so all you need is an HDMI cable connected to your TV.
Either way, the end result is the same. Whether you opt for a soundbar or a 13-speaker system, a home theater system will enhance everything you watch, from TV shows to movies, newscasts to sports.
5.1 Surround Sound System Installation
To create a traditional surround-capable home theater system, you'll need at least a 5.1 speaker setup. This setup should include two front speakers, two rear speakers, a center channel speaker, and a subwoofer.

FRONT SPEAKERS
DiscoverThe front speakers are the most important part of a home theater system, and they should be the best speakers you have. Their main job is to deliver the music and sound effects in movies in the most accurate way. No speaker can give you the best sound experience as well as two full-size, floor-standing speakers. However, if you don’t have the space for a large speaker, high-quality bookshelf speakers can also work. Depending on how much space you have and your budget, we recommend that you choose two of your front speakers as tower models. If tower speakers are suitable for your room, you can check out the Klipsch RP-8000F, R-6000F, R-610F or R-620F. For smaller spaces, you can choose a bookshelf speaker such as the Klipsch RP-600M, R-41M or R-51M.

CENTER CHANNEL SPEAKERS
DiscoverA good center speaker is an essential part of your home theater system, ensuring that you can hear dialogue clearly and distinctly. “Dialogue is arguably the most important part of a movie, and over 60 percent of dialogue comes from the center channel speaker,” says Mike Buratto, Product Manager at Klipsch. “No home theater system would be complete without a center channel speaker.” A speaker specifically designed for the center is usually wide and horizontal. This shape allows the speaker to distribute sound evenly and create a wide soundstage. For a great center channel speaker experience, consider the Klipsch RP-504C, RP-600C, R-34C, R-52C, and RC 64.

REAR CHANNEL SPEAKERS
DiscoverThe primary function of rear-channel speakers is to give you the feeling of being in the movie. Placed directly behind or to the side of your listening position, these speakers can help you hear the audience behind you in a cheering crowd or give you the real feeling of a car speeding past you. Rear-channel speakers are generally preferred over smaller bookshelf or in-wall models. However, depending on the size of your space and your budget, you can also use tower speakers. The Klipsch RP-502S, R-41M, and R-51M give you a truly expansive audio experience. For a more immersive, cinematic sound experience, consider the Dolby Atmos® RP-500SA or R-41SA surround speakers.
SUBWOOFER
The subwoofer is the speaker that gives you that "big, booming" sound, a quality that most people attribute to an optimal cinema experience. The speaker that delivers the incredible sound that you feel throughout your body every time you hear the rumbling of tanks or explosions on the screen is the subwoofer. For a truly surround sound experience, you can choose the KIipsch SPL-120, SPL-100, R-100SW, R-10SWi or R-120SW subwoofer models.
Build Your Own System
You can choose from a variety of systems sizes, depending on the size of your TV room and your budget. No matter which one you choose, you’ll be treated to an incredible audio experience the next time you sit down to watch a movie or your favorite TV show. Upgrading from a standard speaker system to a surround-screen home theater system is like upgrading from a 50-inch 720p TV to a 75-inch 4K TV, sonically speaking. In other words, it brings you much closer to the experience you’d get in a movie theater.
The larger your system, the more speakers you will need and therefore the more options you will have. We know that it can be difficult to choose the best speakers for your home from these options, so please contact our experience experts for any questions you may have. With the help of our experience experts, you can acoustically match all components and quickly specify your speakers for the best possible home theater system.
